About Us

Welcome to NoteworthyDecor.store!

Noteworthy Decor is a small, intentional design studio run by Richard and Christy.

Music is central to how we think — not as decoration, but as structure, rhythm, and presence. Richard is a trumpet player who performs in a wind ensemble and works professionally in systems and databases. Christy is a vocalist with an art background and a natural eye for atmosphere and expression. Outside the studio, we both maintain full-time careers, which keeps our work here grounded and deliberate.

We started Noteworthy Decor after noticing something missing: most musical home décor felt loud, novelty-driven, or disconnected from how real people actually live with music. It was rarely subtle, rarely cohesive, and rarely designed to belong in a room.

So we took a different approach.

Rather than creating overt “music-themed” objects, we design pieces that support how a space feels — calm, focused, expressive, lived-in. Music influences our work in quiet ways: repetition, balance, restraint, negative space. You don’t need to read music or play an instrument to connect with our designs — they’re meant to feel right first.

Richard handles the technical and structural side of the studio, obsessing (happily) over systems, layouts, and the behind-the-scenes details that make everything work. Christy leads the creative direction, using her artistic training and intuition to shape pieces that feel thoughtful rather than decorative.

Most of our products are made to order. This allows us to keep collections intentional, reduce excess waste, and focus on quality over volume. We don’t aim to fill rooms — we aim to give rooms something to listen to.

Ultimately, Noteworthy Decor is about more than objects. It’s about creating small, meaningful moments in the places where people practice, listen, rest, and live.
